Boulder City and the Eldorado Valley
The Eldorado Valley south of Henderson is energy country: utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage substations, and a growing list of data center site proposals.
Boulder City reviews uses of city-owned land through its Land Management Process, and one data center proposal on city land was withdrawn in July 2026. The city says other landowners have expressed interest in building data centers in the Eldorado Valley on land the city does not own.
